History Tutoring

I have done much research over my years in history, particularly the history of England/UK, medeival and world history in America and cultural studies in religion/cultures which gives me a broad range to work with. I enjoy history so much and love to tutor people in a creative style as if I am reliving the history of the times with the person so it becomes more real and fun to the person so it is not so tedious to sift through! HISTORY IS FUN! :D

Religion Tutoring

Being a Christian, I am very versed in the faith of Jesus and have done extensive research on other world religions of the times and throughout history such as Islam and Catholicism. I am very open-minded to other cultures even though I have my faith in God, but I always enjoy teaching new religions and helping others learn as I have always been open to learning of new cultures/religions and it would be fun to teach it one day in a college I think!

Philosophy Tutoring

I am extrememly philosophical as I tend to ask many thought-provoking questions in my teaching and learning style. I am open minded but a deep thinker which makes me good at understanding the concept of philosophy. Being a high-functioning autistic woman, I am DEEPLY interested and skilled in teaching deep, logic-based approaches and helping people understand them in simple, layman terms.

Reading Tutoring

I am very patient and able to teach any young person in this age bracket to see a prompt and use fun to make whatever we're reading come alive and be easily understood! I have always enjoyed reading and it can be enjoyed even if the topic may not be so interesting in the moment! I can help anyone learn to find the subject of a book or prompt and focus on the main ideas and answer questions from the reading. :)

Arts Tutoring

I am a very creative minded person and enjoy helping others see the beauty in art and teaching that there is ALWAYS a story behind a painting and the designer is the key to know and interpret the design most of the time!

English Tutoring

I can teach basic English, from basic grammar to sentence structure and how to put a sentence together without making a sentence sound too choppy or be too long winded. I have had a lot of practice writing over the years and dealing with a lot of those nit-picky grammar teachers as I can be one myself at times!

Homework Coach Tutoring

I consider myself a procrastinator back in the day so I completely get it that some kids are like that today (and adults honestly!) but I would love to help them learn some tips and tricks on how to stay focused, especially also since I am ADHD myself and have learned a lot of coping skills to be a better do-getter when it comes to getting that homework done in my life! Spoiler alert: Homework never ends! ;')

Psychology Tutoring

I have always enjoyed learning about the human mind and I have done extensive research on psychological concepts from Freud to other popular topics in mental health which I believe everyone should take very seriously in their life and others!

Literature Tutoring

I have read many books, especially YA fiction and some of my best papers in college were in British Literature class. I have always been a VERY strong writer and I enjoy teaching cultural subjects, especially when it comes to creative arts such as books, drama, poetry. etc.

I know VERY basic Spanish as I was taught very basic grammar and how to read and speak it in 2 semesters of high school and 2 semesters in college...

Social Studies Tutoring

This is very important as we all need to learn better about our government structure and the systems we live in the country we live! I enjoy structure myself as an atypical woman and I find things like governments and how societies work fascinating and am able to break down those concepts very easily to a child in this age bracket.

Graduate Level Writing Tutoring

I have done MANY research papers and have gotten B+ and above on most all of them I wrote in my bachelor's degree program at Liberty University. I enjoy writing and know both MLA style AND Chicago, plus I know strong writing skills when it comes to teaching and helping others learn the type of writing that is expected and required in higher academic circles.

HTML Tutoring

Growing up in the early 2000s when the computer first began to be a thing and coding became more advanced, I have taught myself very basic HTML skills since high school and honed them well over the years as I have designed and coded my own websites over the years, starting on sites such as proboards and jcink hosting.

Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring

I know this program very well as I have used it often in college and at work when I have presented projects and done presentations for class from my high school days. I enjoy creating interesting presentations and have an eye for design as well as persuasiveness when it comes to selling an idea to a group and helping others be encouraged to stand up infront of the class in case they may be a little nervous.

I have used Word for YEARS and know all the kinks of it and would enjoy to teach it to anyone who is needing tips and tricks on how to get around this, at times, pesky program!

Basic Computer Skills Tutoring

"Have you tried turning it on and off again?" LOL I love to teach computer as I consider myself a heavy techie and nerd with my own phone and laptop! I can teach anyone to get from a 10WPM to an 80WPM just as I can type currently. :D

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I am an avid reader and am able to break down sentences, paragraphs and sections of a paper or book to help anyone understand it, from a preschooler to a college ager who may need some extra help to break down and understand an article or prompt!

Study Skills Tutoring

Over the years of procrastination and long nights of staying up to cram for a test, I have learned many life hacks when it comes to helping someone study for an upcoming exam, especially when it comes to someone who has had test anxiety in math! It will be ok! We got this!!
