Fun Facts
I absolutely LOVE learning about Russian History, Literature, and Language. I am currently working toward my TORFL certification and enjoy reading different books in Russian from authors like Solzhenitsyn and Tolstoi. I will likely geek about my love of Russian culture or reference it often during our time together. I love how dramatic it is (like a reality TV show but more crazy)!
About Me
I am a senior History and Political Philosophy double major at the dallas">University of Dallas. I will be working as a Russian Intelligence Analyst after graduation, and plan to get a Master’s degree in state security as well!
I may be younger than other tutors on the platform, but I use that to my advantage as I can relate to students more easily.
Experience
I have worked both as a tutor and teacher/mentor for many years. I worked with disabled children (10 y.o +) as an equine instructor assistant for 7 years before leaving for college, and have tutored college and high school students throughout my time at UD.
** I also have experience working with dyslexia and reading comprehension difficulties. **
I am proficient in every area I have listed, including a college intermediate level of Latin reading and vocabulary ( Latin Poetry and History).
Approach
I really love getting to know my students and tailoring my approach toward their needs. I am very optimistic and encouraging, using educational games as a way to make the students feel engaged and comfortable.
Learning is not something that should be boring… but it can be difficult! I personally love challenging topics, and I hope that my enthusiasm helps show my students that it can be really fulfilling to take time and tackle a new subject/topic.
