Fun Facts

One of my major passions is dance! I enjoy learning new styles and I try to take classes whenever I get the chance. I am currently learning Tango; although it is definitely harder than it looks, I enjoy the challenge. Another one of my passions is shoes! I truly believe a girl can never have too many shoes.

About Me

I am a senior at the chicago">University of Illinois at Chicago and am studying psychology and sociology. I plan to take a year off after graduation to gain more experience in my field and to figure out what type of graduate program I would like to attend to further my education. My ultimate goal is to work in a hospital as a psychologist.

During my senior year of high school, I had to opportunity to chicago">tutor students through our National Junior Honor Society. Since then, I have had experience working with youth while interning at a domestic violence agency as well as volunteering at the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center in Chicago. I am excited to continue working with students that I will be able to chicago">tutor as well as mentor.

I have found through my experience, it is the most helpful when a teacher actually explains the material instead of simply giving answers. I also find it best when the student is able to ask questions and work through the content with someone who is patient and encouraging as well as someone who will challenge the student. I also feel it is important to teach the student organizational skills as well as study skills to help them be successful in all classes. As a chicago">tutor, I attempt to bring all of these important aspects into my sessions.
