Fun Facts

One passion people quickly find about me is that I love kids. I coach both baseball and football at my school, and I also coach my 8-year-old son's little league baseball and basketball team. In addition, I enjoy working out and being at the gym with friends.

About Me

I currently hold the position of 8th-grade English teacher at my school. Also, I am the head football and baseball coach. I am the lead for the English department and serve as team leader for the 8th-grade hall.

Experience

I have been an English teacher for eight years and served in leadership roles for six years. I am currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University pursuing an Educational Specialist degree in K-12 leadership.

Approach

As a child, I was more successful in teacher's classes that focused on students. They cared about us as individuals rather than looking at us as test scores. This a method I quickly understood would work for me in the classroom. I enjoy creating a safe space for students and showing them that learning new concepts can be fun.
