Fun Facts
I absolutely love to crochet and do other crafts! It helps get my creative juices flowing and I love to create gifts and things for other people. I also have two cats, Moose and Ruby, who also love to play with my yarn. I am from Connecticut and have a passion for helping others!
About Me
I currently work as a Success Coach at a Community College, where I get to interact with a wide variety of students. This includes adult learners, young adults who are new to college, students with learning disabilities or challenges, and more.
I have my Master's Degree in Counselor Education: Student Development in Higher Education. My bachelor's is in Psychological Science. I earned a 3.8 overall GPA during my graduate studies, and a 3.6 during my undergraduate studies.
Experience
I have particular experience in helping students with study skills, note-taking, organization, time-management, and executive functioning skills. I work often with students who are at-risk, struggling in their studies, or who face learning challenges. I often share my own struggles and experiences with staying organized and have a lot of tools that I share with students to help them find what works for them.
Approach
I take a holistic and individualized approach to every student I work with, every student has different obligations or things going on in their life that are important to them. It's important to consider that and understand what they bring to the table when entering the classroom or as a student.

MastersStudy Skills Tutoring
As a Success Coach, I specialize in helping students develop and learn study skills, strategies, and routines. I have several online and paper tools that I share as resouces and teach students different tehcniques that are suitable for their personal learning styles.
Sociology Tutoring
During my undergraduate degree, I minored in Sociology and took an interest in many topics within the field. I have earned high grades in introduction courses, as well as a wide variety of other topics such as Race, Gender, Class, Diversity, etc.
Psychology Tutoring
My Bachelor's degree is in Psychological Science. I have studied many subjects within this field, and have particular interest in learning/memory, social psychology, and research methodologies.
Basic Computer Skills Tutoring
I have utilized computers all throughout my educational journey, and am familiar with softwares such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Suites, and more. As a detail oritented person, I also can pick up quickly on new sites and softwares and have a basic understanding of computers.
