About Me

I am a freshman at the University of New Haven majoring in Criminal Justice. I am passionate about proving exceptional education to those who are determined to work and learn.

Experience

As a tutor at New Haven Reads, I have gained hands on experience and have adopted numerous tutoring techniques to effectively convey difficult topics. I have also aiding teachers in delivering safe and accessible education. While doing so, I have gained knowledge in various math sections and have learned communication skills needed to adjust to different learning paces.

Approach

During my time in middle school, I did not like reading or English as a class because I found it tedious and not fun. My mother helped me jump through this hoop by suggesting me to write letters to my favorite characters in bedtime books, and they would send me letters back. I knew it was really my mother behind the letters, but having a fun way to connect reading and writing made me grow a love for both.
