Fun Facts
I am very interested in the field of aviation and even have my private pilot’s license allowing me to fly small airplanes. I am the second of 4 children, I have 2 cats and 2 dogs, and I love to travel the world. I’ve been all over from Anchorage, Alaska to Berlin, Germany.
About Me
I am a junior aeronautical and astronautical engineering major at Purdue University in West Lafayette Indiana. When I’m not in class I love to watch sports and play video games with my friends. When I graduate I hope to work in aerospace and design passenger planes for airlines.
Experience
As a summer camp counselor, I had the opportunity to work with children from ages 6-14 not only to supervise them, but to instruct them as well. I’ve lead construction workshops where the children had to build something of their own design after listening to me teach them about the mechanics at work. I was also able to educate them on the history of aviation when our camp took a field trip to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
Approach
I believe in a friendly, supportive approach. I know that as a student I was much better at learning when I had a friend to talk to and bounce ideas off of. I intend to be that as a tutor. I will spend some time getting to know the student and becoming a friend before allowing them to work through any problems they may have with me there to listen and the help when needed.
