Fun Facts

I love to listen to music and spend time with my family. In my free time I do art and go out with my friends. I have a little brother. So far I have visited the states of Washington DC, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut. I am hoping to travel to more states afterwards, and even travel Europe in the future.

About Me

I am a student at New York Institute of Technology, majoring in science/new-york/queens">computer science. I will be graduating with my bachelors in December 2025, and look forward to getting my masters degree in the future. For grad school, I want to do data science and math. My favorite subject is math.

Experience

I worked as a math and English tutor for 3 years and helped students in grades K to 8 in different schools. I have experience in classroom management and lesson planning. In the 3 years that I worked, I met many students with different ways of learning. I learned some student learn visually, and some by mentally. Some students have to draw out a problem while others have strong mental math skills. Based on my observations to students, I work with my students however they feel comfortable.

Approach

Personally, I grew up loving math, and always wanted to do more problems. I used to go to the library near my house everyday to print out math worksheets. In college, I also helped my friends in class whenever they had trouble. That is when I discovered my love for both math and helping others. Tutoring helps me in both ways- I can help people and do math with them at the same time. I am always looking to help and meet new people and make my students improve in their math courses.
