In another life, I was a race car driver! If I didn't want to do advertising and public relations, I would pursue the racing profession. I am left-handed (part of that 10% of the population).

About Me

I am a junior student at Texas Christian University (TCU) majoring in Strategic Communications and minoring in Digital Culture and Data Analytics. During my time at TCU, I have taken an abundance of writing classes focusing on different fields from magazine-style writing to writing in advertising.

Experience

Recently, I have been a part of the Writing for Publication class for my minor. Each week we bring in drafts of our work and give them to our peers to edit. I also work at a student-run advertising/public relations agency. Before we send out any deliverables to our clients, I edit and revise my peer's work to make sure it is all ready to go.

Approach

Growing up, writing was always a struggle for me. I never wanted to do it. I thought it was boring! In high school, I started to learn how to love writing. I approach writing first by brainstorming thoughts on paper without judgment or order. Then, I organize the ideas get to the meaning of what I want to say in my writing, and begin a rough draft. The process is little by little to make sure it is not overwhelming.
