Fun Facts
I love to read! Any time I am not at work or in class, you can always find me with a book in my hand!
About Me
I was born in Iraq and lived there and in Syria before moving here. I am finishing up my freshmen year at college while working as a phlebotomist for Sonora Quest. In the future, I hope to become a doctor, retire and teach.
Experience
Being on the committee for NHS (national honors society) for four consecutive years in high school has allowed me a lot of one-on-one tutoring opportunities. We hosted tutoring Mon-Fri and every other Saturday!
Approach
People view being 'smart' as a gift and something that is not worked towards. The mindset is that if you're not smart or can't understand something right away, you'll never be smart. I hope to change peoples perspective on that. I like to understand what exactly doesn't make sense to them and explain it in the simplest way where we can add layers and build up our information. This way, the student is not overwhelmed and being bombarded with countless facts and approaches to a homework question.
