Fun Facts

I have run two successful fundraisers through Extra Life benefiting the local Dell Children's Hospital in Austin. I'm currently outlining a few different fictional narratives for YA novels or possibly just tabletop RPG campaigns for my friends. I used to spin house vinyl on some old Technics turntables in my bedroom. If the humidity isn't too high, I like to paint board game miniatures.

About Me

I'm a huge nerd currently working on completing my Associate's Degree, and plan on a Bachelor's thereafter. I'm into sci-fi/horror, board games, and music. I enjoy pop-culture and media analysis, and I'll probably find a way to sneak a few of my favorite quotes from history into our conversation.

Experience

I have worked many years in the service industry, and several years in eCommerce. I have studied 3D animation, music theory and production, astronomy, science/texas/austin">computer science, Spanish & Japanese, history, and philosophy.

Approach

My core belief and guiding principle in education is this: anyone can learn anything. However, if you don't vibe with the person across from you, you aren't going to get very far. I focus on establishing a trusted relationship with students and confronting the fear of failure that always gets in the way of learning something new.
