Fun Facts
I have competed in the AAU Jr. Olympics for Track and Field for five years when I used to run. My biggest passion is to run, but most importantly run fast. I also enjoy reading and writing, it is one of passions that not many know about me.
About Me
I am senior Spanish and Hispanic Studies Major at Texas Christian University. I have a minor in Educational Studies so I understand the general philosophy behind teaching and how to effectively get through to the students. I just recently returned back to campus after spending a semester studying abroad in Seville, Spain. After graduation, I plan to work in the Restaurant Industry.
Experience
I have been tutoring since my Freshman year of college. I have always excelled in learning the Spanish language, I truly enjoy it. My expertise lies in grammar, reading, writing, as well as oral communication. If a student needs help in any of these areas then I can assure that they will see progress from the first session to the last.
Approach
I like to take the approach of breaking the barriers of the traditional way of classroom teaching of the language. I like to challenge the individuals I help to speak the language, despite their level. It is important to learn the language through active involvement, not by simply memorizing the vocabulary hoping that the language fluency will develop.
