Fun Facts

One unique thing that I have acquired is that I am the only one in my family with a degree. Not only do I have a degree in Psychology, but I also have a graduate degree in Education. I love crocheting, sewing and quilting. Crafts have always been my relaxation. Once I got much older, I started breeding rabbitsI also breed Yorkipoos.

About Me

I have a Master's degree from phoenix">University of Phoenix in Secondary Education (2009) and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (2006). I have 3 children, a 31 year-old, a 28 year-old and a 17 year-old. My husband and I have been married for 32 years and look forward to the next 32. I enjoy watching crime shows and playing games. I teach young students, whereas, my husband teaches graduate students, but teaching is teaching, right?

Experience

As a retired teacher, I taught thousands of students across the 5th to 12th grades for almost 19 years. I have taught both in-person and online which has strengthened my resolve and added many more tools in my toolbelt.

Approach

I had many admirable teachers throughout my high school years. My freshman Algebra teacher was the one who inspired me to become a teacher. I was also trained very early in my career in the Kids at Hope philosophy. I will always be a treasure hunter searching for the talents, skills and intelligence of all children and youth. I believe that all children are capable of success. No exceptions!
