Fun Facts
I produce music, edit videos, and create video games in my spare time. I may teach overseas in my near future. My career and life path have often changed from what expected, as I can't tell if I am adventurous or unstable, but I have learned to bend like a tree in the wind.
About Me
I am a graduate with a degree in art and design for video game development. With significant instability and employment barriers within the industry, I have turned my focus elsewhere towards anything that aligns with my strengths of empathy, creating rewarding experiences, and innovating.
Experience
I grew up with a mom who teaches high school math, at times assisting her. Following various odd jobs post-college, I began tutoring and teaching for AISD and neighbors, working primarily with SPED support and inclusion for elementary schoolers, while tutoring for miscellaneous high school classes outside of work hours.
Approach
There are too many teachers who, through a lack of empathy or patience, serve as antagonists against students' desire to learn, rather than bridging the gap between the known and unknown in a way that encourages and motivates. I try to balance learning and comfort, so that neither overwhelms the other.
