I love to read! I like to explore different genres and topics, so if you have any book recommendations, I would love to hear them! My favorite place to study is the library because it is so cozy and helps me focus.

About Me

I am a rising junior at Amity Regional High School.

Experience

I collaborated with other students to develop a novel public speaking/debate curriculum for elementary students. I also taught (alongside two friends) a weekly virtual public speaking/debate class for 15-20 students. I have tutored 1-on-1 for an international student in English. I have extensive experience with younger students. I assisted small group instruction in cheerleading and arts/crafts for K-5th grade students at a summer camp and also was a TA for a 2nd grade Chinese language learning

Approach

I believe that learning should be fun! I hold myself to the highest standards when it comes to bringing passion to my work and the subject I am teaching. I also care about understanding things deeply beyond rote memorization, and I welcome exploratory questions. Finally, learning new things is a vulnerable journey, and therefore I believe strongly in my students ability to achieve and try to create a safe space to learn.
