About Me

I am a math major at CU Boulder!! I made the Dean’s list this past semester!! I used to struggle a lot with math, but through a lot of perseverance, I fell in love with it. Now it’s my all-time favorite subject. I want to be able to help people with and teach what I have learned. I just finished Calculus 3 and am on my way to linear algebra in the fall!

Experience

Throughout high school, I had the opportunity to tutor underclassmen in English and math. I was hoping to carry that on through my first year of college, but the hours could not align with my schedule. However, through taking college math courses I feel even more confident about my abilities to teach math and study skills.

Approach

Up until my junior year of high school, I was not a big fan of math. I was below average up until 7th grade. Throughout high school, I found it boring. However, in my junior year, I was placed in concurrent enrollment college algebra and trigonometry. These classes challenged me, but in a way where I learned so much and fell in love with math. One of my biggest methods in tutoring is to teach methods to approach math. When one gets frustrated, attempt all the other strategies you know.
