Fun Facts
I am currently in school for a degree in filmmaking! My favorite films are Evil Dead, Little Miss Sunshine, and Ferris Buellers Day Off. I enjoy films of all genres, but my favorite films are often comedy or horror films (bonus points if they're both)!
About Me
I am a senior at Minneapolis College of Art and Design majoring in filmmaking. I plan to go into editing or art direction once I graduate. Even though I am focused on film, I still enjoy other forms of art in my free time such as drawing, painting, sewing, and photography.
Experience
All of my previous job experience involves teaching art to kids. I taught painting classes to kids and adults, I taught art activities at a child center, and I am currently teaching a student on the spectrum how to draw and film/edit videos. I also was a teacher's assistant for my high school photography class, which was primarily focused on learning Photoshop.
Approach
What I've found from my time in school learning how to use complicated programs is that it's best to focus on one feature at a time, and to learn by doing and not just by watching. Doing specific exercises that focus on a certain feature will help you master the program as a whole.

Filmmaking
Video Production Tutoring
I am a senior at Minneapolis College of Art and Design majoring in filmmaking, so video production is my expertise. I have taken a variety of courses that focus on specific elements of video production, so I am knowledgeable in all the areas that are involved in creating videos. I also have created various films in my time at MCAD that have been presented in film festivals and exhibitions, and have had some experience working in the film industry. Because this subject is my biggest passion, I feel very confident in my ability to teach it and I would be excited for any opportunity I get to do so!
Adobe Photoshop Tutoring
I have been using Adobe Photoshop since I was a Junior in high school, and I have taken numerous classes on learning how to use it since then. When I am in school I use this program weekly, as most of my classes focus around digital photography. The college I go to even has a required intro class that teaches you how to become familiar with the program, so I feel confident in my knowledge on how to use it and teach it.
Arts Tutoring
I have been taking art classes for as long as I can remember, so the fundamental principles of creating art are basic knowledge for me. I am a senior at a visual arts college, where I have learned not only the basics of the arts but also its intricacies. I am constantly surrounded with artists and having discussions about art where I am required to discuss the visual strengths and weaknesses of an art piece, and evaluate what techniques should be applies in order to strengthen the artwork. I also have a lot of experience in teaching art, as all of my job experience has involved teaching art to kids or adults. I have taught the arts to children as young as 3 years old, as well as adults in their late 40s.
