About Me

I am a PhD Student in English and First-Year (University) Writing Instructor attending Temple University and creating my life in Philadelphia. While most drawn to the humanities, I also have a fondness for math education and can adapt to a wide-range of tutoring needs.

Experience

I am currently a PhD student in English and First-Year Writing Instructor at Temple University. Previously, I completed my BA in English and Political Science with a minor in Spanish from The washington-university">George Washington University. While in DC, I also worked for a year as a middle school math tutor and mentor at John Hayden Johnson Middle School (DC Public School system) and engaged in advocacy. I am naturally an intellectually curious person who thrives off learning new things and helping students of diverse backgrounds attain greater knowledge and confidence in themselves -- combining academic lessons with interpersonal mentorship. I have a diverse intellectual/academic background and believe I posses the drive, empty, and patience to be a successful tutor.
