Fun Facts
I am a fun loving college student who loves a adventure. I grew up traveling all over the world thanks to my parents careers, so I was never really one to sit around and enjoy the normal things that teenagers do. I try to stay active and busy, always staying involved in numerous activities and events. I spend most of my time outside of class either on set making short films or volunteering at various organizations that help low income members of the community.
About Me
I am a sophomore studying film and television at New York University. My major is definitely very arts specific, but that doesn't mean I don't have interests in other areas. I have a strong desire to use my media skills in the area of international relations and politics as well as in the business world of marketing and distribution.
I have been manhattan">tutoring since the age of 12. Being the oldest child in a large family, it was always my responsibility to help my younger siblings with their studies. In high school I began manhattan">tutoring other students who struggled in the areas of math and science. Since coming to college I have tutored at the Boy's Club of America, where I taught young boys the basics of digital and media arts while helping them with their academic studies.
When I manhattan">tutor children, I try to first gauge where thy are. Most children I have worked with struggle with a certain subject because they don't understand the basic concepts as they were taught in class. I try to come up with new ways of understanding particularly difficult concepts or ideas. Once I have established this basic understanding, I slowly build off of it with deeper examples and more complicated problems. By the end the students are able to walk through their homework or classwork understanding exactly what the concept is.
