As a tutor in the past, I offered study skills and was efficient in getting work done promptly. After a long of studying for students, homework can become difficult but I like to encourage students to work hard first and then play!

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I have tutored kindergarten to 3rd-grade students in reading and reading comprehension. I enjoy using the narration approach when working with students so they are working on listening to everything that is read to them or as they read.

Writing Tutoring

Writing is another important skill we need to communicate in many different aspects of life. I enjoy teaching students how to use nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, etc. Writing is one thing I enjoy doing in my free time.

ESL Tutoring

I worked in a public school for several years and worked with ESL students. I enjoy helping students learn English and seeking to understand content for the first time.

Reading Tutoring

Phonics and reading are my favorite subjects to teach and tutor in, reading is a life skill! I enjoy using different methods to help students be successful in reading skills and being able to apply them independently. Once a student learns the basics, reading becomes a skill that is enjoyable and not so scary.
