Fun Facts
I love soccer. I have been playing soccer for my university for the past three years. I am the oldest of three. I have two younger brothers. My parents are from Serbia and Montenegro so I try to visit the family members I still have there every summer. I am originally from NYC and am down in Florida attending Barry University.
About Me
I am a senior majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in English Literature. I am 22 and have been miami">tutoring since I was thirteen. My ultimate goal is to become an Elementary School teacher. I am currently pre-interning at an elementary school 2 times a week. Next semester i will be in the elementary school 5 days a week. If chosen as your miami">tutor, I would be willing to the extra mile and even sit in on your son's or daughter's class to extract as many resources as I can to help him/her.
Experience
Every semester,it is mandatory for education students to do a certain amount of field experience hours. We go into our designated school. After hours of observing and acting as a student teacher, we create lesson plans for the class as well. This has tremendously helped me in exploring different strategies that work best for reading,math, writing. All students learn differently so it is important for me to get to know my student on a personal and academic level to help him/her learn effectively.
Approach
I have two younger brothers so patience is a very good characteristic of mine :) I am very positive and truly devote myself to my work. If that means me having to relearn math-middle-school/florida/miami">middle school math all over again to best help my student, I will do it. It is fun for me. I am very passionate about going into the field of education.
