Fun Facts
I love all types of music! Any time I meet someone new, a good way for us to bond is to discuss music and pop culture. I like anything from pop to hip-hop to musical theater! I grew up in choir, both in school and church, and I was even in an a cappella group in high school. Music is something that I feel connects everyone.
About Me
I graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with my B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology. I now attend Texas Christian University as a second year graduate student earning my Masters in Speech Pathology. My goal after my Masters is to work with children with language disorders and eventually earn my PhD.
Experience
During my time at Xavier, I went through trainings in order to be a certified writing tutor for the Writing Resource Center. This allowed me to effectively assist students with their writing assignments. In the speech pathology program, I am constantly working with school-age children in the area of English.
Approach
I have always had a passion for education. I understand that obstacles can get in the way of this being a reality for others, and so I hope to guide them through those obstacles to have a better understanding of what they're learning.
