Fun Facts

Education is and has been a crucial value and dedication to my family. My brother and mom are teachers, my grandmother was a teacher, and my grandfather served on our hometown's school board for several terms.
I am also one of the few students from my school district to receive a 12 year perfect attendance award.

About Me

I am a college graduate with an environmental biology degree with a history of tutoring and volunteering in the past. I am an Eagle Scout who is also consistently trying to improve myself personally and professionally.

Experience

I worked for just under a year as a tutor with Sylvan Education teaching elementary and middle school subjects. I also volunteered during and after college with after school tutors in my hometown's school district.
I also worked part time as a single-day substitute at my high school district in California before I moved here

Approach

For me, telling students the correct answers to their questions is not sufficient enough. My method in education is to help the student understand the question, problem, or process and gradually find the steps to find an answer on their own. During this, it helps the student build confidence and independence to gradually improve over time.
