I greatly enjoy cooking! It makes my heart smile when I see the people I care about enjoy the meals I prepare for them. I love to be outdoors and appreciate nature. Whether it's the mountains, a forest, or the beach, I am the most at peace when I am outside. Family is very important to me. I am a mom of triplets!

About Me

I have a BA in Psychology an MSEd in School Counseling and an additional 30 credits in Special & General Education. I hold New York and North Carolina Professional Educator’s Licenses in education/north-carolina/raleigh">Special Education and a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in School Counseling.

Experience

As an educator with over 30 years of experience, 18 of those in a classroom setting, I bring competencies in an array of specialty areas including K - 6 ELA, math, science and social studies, Autism, Learning Disabilities & ADHD. I also have experience teaching strategies in Growth Mindset and Executive Functioning.

Approach

I have a multidisciplinary approach to education. I am skilled at differentiating and modifying lessons and believe all children can learn, it’s just a matter of tapping into their potential. I feel it is my job as an educator to facilitate my student’s abilities by providing varied learning modalities to do so.
