Fun Facts

I was a horsewoman, am a nurse, and have experience teaching preschool and first grade, and student teaching high school. I was very involved with my children's school in Boulder, Colorado. I have won prizes in art contests. I ran a Fair Trade business out of Africa for 15 years. I attended UCLA and UC Berkeley with a major in Literature.

About Me

I love children and animals. I love reading and writing...am presently studying more in-depth Poetry and Fiction in an online course. I have 2 grown boys (young men) who live in other states. I am passionate about life in general, traveling, being with friends and family, and always curious to learn about new things. I have been a registered nurse and a substitute teacher for young children... I still do that occasionally and I also student-taught high school English many years ago. I'm also an avid moviegoer and cook.

Experience

I presently am a substitute aide for preschool children...working only occasionally. I have been a registered nurse for over 40 years, but I have pretty much retired from that just this year. I was a preschool teacher in my 20s and also student-taught high school English for a year. I have also studied many avenues in alternative medicine and was a practitioner for several years.

Approach

School and learning have always been a very big part of my life. I continue to study and I love to help others...especially in ways to make life and learning interesting. I appreciate the acquiring of knowledge.
