My favorite video game is Outer Wilds.
I am a former competitive gymnast and once took 2nd place in a nationwide tournament.
Although math is the subject I enjoy most, I have spent alot of time studying story structure in both film and writing.

About Me

I just graduated from Georgia Insitute of Technology where I was on the dean's list every semester and had multiple 4.0 semesters. I am planning on apply to multiple PhD programs this winter with my focus being on analytic number theory which is a subfield of mathematics.

Experience

I worked as an independent stem tutor for a pair of family friends when I was in high school with the majority being pre pandemic, however there was the occasional virtual lesson after the pandemic started.
I worked as a grader for a second year linear algebra course and for a number theory course where I would often provide feedback with students and would occasionally discuss virtually if there was confusion on why they recieved points off.

Approach

My approach heavily relies on trying to get the student to actively engage with the material. If they are more interested in the material they will often remember more long term and be more willing to learn more advanced material afterwards. I often do this with examples they encounter in their life or by relating it to their personal interests.
