Fun Facts

A fun fact about me is that I was the mascot in high school and ran around in a full buffalo costume. I always attended the Padres Games with my dad when I was young and was inspired by the "Padres Chicken". Oh, the fun we had!

About Me

I am a veteran teacher with credentials in both general and education/california/san-diego">special education. I have taught preschool- 12th grade. I am currently an empty nester as my two amazing daughters have grown and flown the coop. I enjoy keeping busy and working with children. It is my life's passion.

Experience

I have served as a general education classroom teacher for grades k-8, a self-contained special day classroom teacher, an acting associate principal (TOSA), an instructional coach, and now work during the school year as an education specialist.

Approach

Getting to know each student as a unique individual and learner is first and foremost. Understanding strengths, areas of need, preferred learning modalities, and areas of interest allows me to customize and create a highly engaging lesson unique to the child's needs.
