1 fun fact about me is that I did competitive swimming as a kid, earning my way to swim at the California Interscholastic Section for Southern California for the 100 yard backstroke.

About Me

I am an incoming senior at the University of California, Irvine studying Environmental Engineering with minors in Global Sustainability and Education.

Experience

I had the opportunity to tutor in many subjects, from sports to education. I have been a swim coach since 2018 and privately coach kids since 2021. Additionally, I was an assistant Vietnamese teacher at Truong Viet Ngu Tustin from 2019 to 2022. At my time at UCI, I participated in a program called Math CEO, where I tutored middle school students from LAUSD with other colleagues to teach a certain subject that was assigned the day of.

Approach

As a tutor, it is essential to understand the client and their way of learning to gain the best results for them. 1 way of teaching or tutoring may not be as effective compared to another way for many students. It is important to be adaptable to the client and how they learn best, whether thats through active learning or reading from notes.
