Fun Facts
When I was a child I competed in Synchronized Swimming at the California State Games. My dream house would have a sunroof in which I could craft, a porch to watch thunderstorms on, and a lap pool for exercise.
About Me
I have varied interests in skills and was recognized as a jack-of-all-trades in my Vocational Program in Backstage Theater. Currently I am a Sociology student determined to use my knowledge to support people to live full lives. My ultimate goal is to make the world a better place by uplifting those in our community who need it.
Experience
I helped tutor classmates at a High School level. I also have tutored in a College Learning Center for various Math and Science subjects both in person and over zoom.
Approach
It's important to build a foundation for when things become challenging! I like to work on the steps of troubleshooting, revision, and comprehension skills for said foundation. Each challenge is about breaking things down into what you know, what you will know, and what tools you have to bridge the gaps. Because tutoring tends to happen in 30 minute sessions, foundational skills can be reviewed during working through problems. Most importantly patience and kindness must be forefront in session
