Fun Facts
I play squash! Not professionally, however, I coach and volunteer on the side with a local squash-based non-profit. Other than that, I am a West Philadelphia local and am the youngest of four.
About Me
I am a junior Cognitive Neuroscience major at the University of Pennsylvania where I plan to minor in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies.
Experience
As a long-term volunteer with SquashSmarts, I've tutored high school students in subjects like Algebra 2. Additionally, I have also assisted with college, scholarship, and pre-college program applications. I've also volunteered at Daroff Elementary assisting Kindergarten students with schoolwork and engaging the students in classroom activities.
Approach
My transition from high school to college was a rough one, I initially thought that studying was taboo if it wasn't for my language classes. However, I had a huge reality shock in college. Now I've developed studying habits and techniques that have allowed me to gradually improve semester after semester, such as mind blurbing, practice problems, and most importantly starting early.
