Fun Facts
I LOVE to cook! My favorite food to cook is Korean Food. My favorite drink is matcha! At ten years old, I taught my 3-year-old sister how to read and write. I have moved to about nine schools in the span of my lifetime. I am fluent in Tagalog and English.
About Me
I am an upcoming sophomore Dietetics and Human Development major passionate about working with kids! I attend the maryland">University of Maryland, College Park on a full-ride scholarship as a Banneker/Key Scholar! I have a strong background in math, science, English, and more. Both my parents are in education and I have learned my passion to teach and lead from them.
Experience
As early as I remember, I loved to teach and lead. I have 5+ years of experience working with kids. As early as 14 I have been babysitting for my parent's friends and coming up with different fun and engaging activities to entertain the kids. During the spring 2024 semester, I volunteered at the Latino Student Fund to be a mentor/tutor to 3rd-6th grade students. Currently, I am a nutrition instructor at Kid's Kitchen Inc. and I've taught 2nd-5th grade students nutrition and cooking skills to hel
Approach
As a child, I struggled with learning and focusing. While my friends were in talented and gifted classes, I was labeled "average." I never sought out help so I never got the help I needed. I struggled to learn in Elementary through Middle school. However, once I found my passion in nutrition and health during my ninth-grade year, I began to excel in school and eventually became Valedictorian of my class as well as earning 17+ college acceptances and a full-ride scholarship to my dream school
