One thing that I love to do is sing! I always have loved signing and have been part of many gospel groups growing up and today, I can be seen at karaoke with my friends having fun!

About Me

I graduated with a bachelor of science in Elementary Education from Penn State University. I've received awards of recognition for outstanding performance from my employers as a teacher. I have 10 years of teaching experience both in person and online. I hope to one day tutor online full-time.

Experience

I have taught reading online for two years with Hoot Reading Network and I have been a teacher of first, second, and third-grade students in Louisiana in Rapides parish for 4 years. I have taught students in kindergarten and first grade for the Philadelphia School District in Pennsylvania for 2 years. I have taught Nursery/Pre-k students at Greenleaf School in Philadelphia for 2 years. I enjoy tutoring online and helping students learn and grow.

Approach

I like tutoring because I feel like I can tutor students in a way that I wish I had been taught with patience and compassion. Especially in reading and math. I grew up loving books and reading and I want to pass on my love of reading to my students. Math was not my favorite subject in school, until I took a basic math class in college, I understood that math was not hard and fun with the right instructor. And I strive to be that instructor that shows students how easy and fun math can be.
