I love to read, especially anything that has fantasy and mythology! I have 2 fur-children, Manny (12) and Dolly Pea Parton (1.5 years old) and they are my world!

About Me

I am currently enrolled in graduate school studying Applied Linguistics. I left teaching because I wanted to go to school full time and get my masters in English. I previously taught Middle School English and have a heart for kids. I firmly believe that there is "no size fits all" method in teaching and I am passionate about "meeting kids where they are at" and working with THEIR needs.

Experience

I taught 8th grade ELA Honors, Co-taught, and standard classes.
Also, while I was in college I was a private tutor for a High Schooler.

Approach

My goal in teaching is to provide students with the tools to harness their gifts and an oasis to nurture them. I have a passion for creative writing and I love sharing that with students. I think it is so important to provide students a safe place where they can freely express themselves and learn to articulate how they feel through writing.
