About Me

I got my degree in Probability & Statistics from UC San Diego and worked a part-time academic advising job where I learned that I love to work with students. I received my Masters in Teaching from UC Irvine and began my short teaching career. I am taking a break from teaching now, but still want to help students learn.

Experience

I am an ex-math teacher for the Irvine Unified School district with over 5 years of experience in education. I specialize in teaching statistics and during my time as a teacher, have achieved a 90% AP pass rate on the AP statistics exam! I also have one year of experience with one-on-one tutoring and one year of experience with small groups of preschool to kindergarten.

Approach

I like to making learning as simple and accessible as possible while making it relevant. I like to put definitions and concepts into the words of a student, and how I would have learned it as a student to help others learn the concept. Rather than a "teacher to student" approach, I try to translate material to be digestible on the "student to student" level!
