Fun Facts
I love animals! I have had a wide variety of them ranging from reptiles to even just taking care of bird nests in my backyard. One of cats right now is a senior citizen going onto 17 years old! Rock climbing or more specifically bouldering, has been my one of my hobbies for over a year now. I like to think about it like solving a puzzle except your using your body as well as your mind.
About Me
I attended University of California-Irvine for three years before I changed my mind about my major. Now I have found a new passion in teaching and hope to expand my knowledge before attempting to get my teaching credentials.
Experience
In high school, I would offer private tutoring in mathematics around my neighborhood as a way to earn some money. I currently have been working at San Ysidro High School as part of an upward bound program for low-income students. Approach
I feel I have always had a knack for helping others. Oftentimes I was the one that other students came to for help. I understood that learning for everyone was different and always tried different approaches to solving problems depending on the person. For me writing essays or reports have always proved more challenging. When a tutor started teaching me in a different way from school, I finally started to understand how to structure my reports.
