Fun Facts
I was an ESL teacher & debate coach in Seoul, South Korea for a year! I love reading, singing, anime, video games, and foreign films!
About Me
I am a graduate student completing my MA English degree this fall, and I am also a part-time financial representative. I have a passion for learning, educating, and community outreach!
Experience
I taught elementary school for about 2 years, coached a high school debate team for 2 years, taught ESL to 4th-10th grade in South Korea for 1 year, was a Camp Galileo instructor & assistant camp director for several years, was a Calculus TA through college, and I've tutored for several years, having worked with students from preschool age through college!
Approach
As a child, I had a lot of energy and often found that traditional schooling methods and harshness were not very effective for me. Thus, I incorporate individualization to the student's interests and learning needs, patience, firmness, and encouragement, and model a positive growth mindset for my students while teaching.

MastersChemistry I Tutoring
I studied an unconventional major, Computer Science + Chemistry, in my undergraduate years, solely due to my divided passion for both these subjects. Thanks to strong honors Chemistry courses in highschool, I was able to succeed in a variety of Chemistry courses in college, from Thermodynamics, to Physical Chemistry, to Organic Chem. Let's balance some equations together!
English Tutoring
As a current English MA student, English is truly my strength and my passion. Educated in a strong grammar and writing-focused school until 12th grade, I was able to hone in and develop my grammar, writing, and composition skills as well as my reading and literary analysis skills in another. This love for reading and writing has brought me to where I am today, working on my MA Thesis on Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus! Whether you need help with poetry, plays, books, from Bradbury to Woolf to Shakespeare - I'm happy to help!
Math Tutoring
I've always had a passion for math, as can be demonstrated by my roles as a Pre-Calculus TA in high school, a Calculus 3 TA in college, a Statistics tutor in college, and a full-time 3rd-5th grade STEM teacher. I believe every student is capable of excelling in math if they have the right teacher and the right relationship with the subject, and I would love to work with you/your student to foster both passion and skill in the subject!
