Fun Facts
I took a chance in a Marine Botany class, and it is now one of my favorite subjects to learn and teach about. Every time I am at the beach you will see me collecting and identifying every piece of algae/seaweed I see!
About Me
I am a newly graduated alumnus from the University of California, Los Angeles, and I managed to double major in Human Biology and Society and Marine Biology in four years! My passion is education and I plan on returning to grad school for environmental health in the coming years.
Experience
In high school, I helped start the math tutoring club, which offered free tutoring to all grades. In college, I had the opportunity to work in a middle school science classroom through the UCLA Cal Teach program. I created lesson plans, executed assessments, and was responsible for classroom management of 5 class periods.
Approach
Through high school and college, I learned that forming a relationship with instructors can be beneficial long term. When you share an interest in course lessons and ideas, you can learn far more than is taught at face value.
