I grew up in Oregon and am one of 8 siblings! In my free time, you can find me working out at the gym, hiking with friends, golfing, or surfing on the lake. I believe there is so much beauty outdoors and I have found a passion for it.

About Me

Hi, my name is Kaylee Sanchez and I am from Portland, Oregon. I am a junior Psychology major and double Child Development and General Business minor at Texas Christian University. After I graduate, I will be attending a psychology graduate program with the career goal of becoming a child and family therapist.

Experience

As a senior in high school, I had the opportunity to tutor students in my school's AVID program. This course prepares high schoolers for college by providing them with useful study skills, college application preparation, and a mindset of hard work and determination.

Approach

As a student, I always value when my teachers and tutors are positive and encouraging when they are helping me. This builds confidence and resilience in myself which enables me to achieve my goals. As a tutor, I will implement these strategies into my teaching. I never want my students to feel bad for making mistakes, because this is what allows us to grow and become better versions of ourselves.
