Fun Facts

One passion of mine is reading! I am always with a book and love showing others just how fun reading can be. But I also have a love for music, and concerts are my go-to kind of fun! I am also a social butterfly and enjoy getting involved on campus and meeting new people.

About Me

I am a Junior Child Development and Spanish for health professions double major at Texas Christian University. Some of my accomplishments are that I have been on the dean's list for a year now, am considered a TCU scholar and I am also a first-gen student who received a full tuition scholarship from TCU.

Experience

I have much experience with helping students k-12. In high school, I was a teacher's assistant at a local middle school while getting my Educational Aid certification, as well as being in a peer tutoring/ mentoring student org. I am currently employed by the Fort Worth Independent School District as a Substitute Teacher/ Educational Aid and spend my days off from school working with children from all grade levels. Approach

Before my passion for reading, I struggled immensely in class and as a shy kid, I had a really hard time asking for clarification. After finding a peer who was willing to help me understand and take the time to show me what is the best way I can understand, it completely changed my life. I believe we all learn differently and with my experience in seeing the various ways kids can take in information, I would like to put that approach into practice.
