Fun Facts
I am an entrepreneur and have my own business part-time. My minor in college was in macroeconomics so I have always had a passion for the financial and business world in America and abroad. The world isn't as large as we think when we frame it with the lens of our economy and its effects on other nations elsewhere.
About Me
I attended Evergreen State College and graduated in June of 2017. My GPA was a solid 3.0.
After college I have worked in education, with our military, and in the healthcare field.
My latest goals are to continue to build my agency and be my boss in 2024 and beyond.
Experience
I have several years of experience professionally working for a previous company titled DaDa ABC. One-on-one student and tutor base with company-provided material to tailor each student's needs and assure their parents. I have had the pleasure of seeing several of my students in the past go from an absolute beginner with 0 English comprehension to an intermediate level within six months.

Approach
As a child, I struggled with math and had to have special assistance with this area. With this life experience, I come from a soothing and non-judgmental approach that is approachable from the student's perspective.

When I worked with my students in the past we used a combination of different methods to help keep them engaged. I had props, puppets, tpr (total physical responce)
and smiled frequently to show my enthusiasm.
I helped students ages 5 to 13 years old with different levels of English. Each student had tailored lessons. They also received homework from me and we had tests monthly to see their progress.
Reading Tutoring
For my students on a second grade level and above, we would include reading รก part of the lessons. The books were about various subjects such as social studies or astronomy.
This would show english how it is written and spoken allowed today.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading comprehension was used for all levels, however the most reading ( as well as writing) was used for my middle school students. We could look at essays and see verbs, adjectives, nouns, as well as proper use of past, present, and future tense. There were some difficulties with the (V) and (TH) sound with the Chinese students so I would take a little more time to slowly practice these letters as well as words that contained them.
