Fun Facts
I am a native of Massachusetts, have a Bichon Yorkie named Lulu from France, and a fabulous husband from Ireland. I earned my master's degree (toxicology) in the Baja, looking at heavy metal loads in sea turtles. I love the sciences and math, as well as language and arts. I enjoy working with students to achieve their goals and often work with the same students for years!
About Me
I am a Pharm D from Howard University who always comes back to working in education out of a true love for it! I think this stems from having some amazing teachers throughout my life who instilled in me a sense of always paying it forward in life. I speak Spanish and some French and am very dedicated to my students, constantly searching out resources and different manners that can embellish our learning time together.
Experience
I taught AP Biology for years, ESL in the United States, Mexico, and South Korea, have taught college-level Microbiology,
Anatomy and Physiology, and Biochemistry, and tutored many different subjects for years. I earned my Pharm D from Howard University and also wrote medical and pharmacology-based articles for various companies. I worked as a Toxicological Specialist for the State of Alaska's Department of Public Health for several years.
Approach
I am very dedicated and resourceful when it comes to working with students. I understand that individuals learn at different rates and in different manners. I am always thinking about different ways to approach problems according to the student that I am working with and believe strongly in good communication, observation, and effective listening to make the educational experience as rewarding and meaningful as possible.
