Fun Facts

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas but have also lived in both Oaxaca, MX, and Oahu, HI each time for around a year. I also have an identical twin sister who not only doesn't attend UT with me but lives in a different state completely!

About Me

I am a new student at the University of Texas at Austin studying Chemical Engineering. I completed my Associate of Science at Lone Star College and look forward to continuing my academic pursuits in Austin. Someday I hope to work in the field of sustainable energy to find renewable solutions to current and future problems!

Experience

I have been working as a math tutor for many years now at various facilities, most notably Mathnasium where I worked as the lead instructor and center manager. Over time, I have developed a love for teaching and although it isn't the career path I'm pursuing, I love getting the chance to continue this passion of mine through part-time work. I have also worked various other jobs that helped me gain customer service experience along with other skills.

Approach

I have always loved math and it saddens me to know that it frustrates so many students. I truly believe that enjoyment in math all stems from confidence, so it is my mission to make sure all my students feel confident in their skills to the point that they can develop, if not love, at least a liking to the difficult subject!
