Fun Facts
I’m in the TCU Horned Frog Marching Band, where I play trumpet! I’ve also played piano since I was in 5th grade.
About Me
I’m a junior psychology major and social work minor at TCU. I’m actively involved on campus, most notably with the band and the John V. Roach Honors College, serving on the Honors Cabinet and as an Ambassador. After I finish my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
Experience
I started tutoring my mom’s friend’s children in middle school. We would go through their homework each night I would provide support and encouragement on the various core subjects.
In high school, I worked at Mathnasium, a math learning center that worked with kids from 2nd through 12th grade. I’ve taught basic addition through AP Calculus BC.
Approach
My college education has allowed me to understand that every kid is wired uniquely, and their needs may differ from those that are being catered to in the classroom. I like to use a hands-on approach with students, using visual models and interactive activities to better understand concepts. I am also patient, yet firm, willing to do whatever it takes to help a student grow and truly learn content.
