I have an adorable 3-month-old kitten named Sprout. I try to include him in my lessons by making him the main character of some of my word problems!

About Me

I’m a junior math major at the University of Texas at Austin. (There were no options for the Austin branch in the profile section, so I had to choose Dallas.) Academically, I’m most interested in geometry, probability, and the philosophy of logic.

Experience

I’ve been tutoring middle and high school kids in anything and everything related to math privately since high school. This will be my fourth year tutoring!

Approach

I never liked my math classes in middle and high school, because I felt like my teachers were just throwing equations at me, without any time spent on where they came from. I emphasize knowing the “why” behind the “how” in my tutoring; I believe it leads to a stronger foundation and helps in later memorization too!
