I am an avid traveler and travel as much as I can! I've lived abroad in Austria, Germany, and Spain, but currently call New York home.

About Me

I am an English teacher with a degree in English and History from the University of Florida. After graduating from college, I volunteered for two years at a high school in Boston teaching English to students who had recently moved to the United States. I then moved to New York City and worked in a middle school & high school teaching English as a Foreign Language before moving to Spain. In Spain, I spent 7 years teaching children and adults English for school, exams, and business. Now that I'm back in the US, I would love to continue teaching English!

Experience

With over 15 years of experience tutoring English, writing, and history, I am incredibly passionate about helping others reach their education goals. I have experience teaching middle school English and Social Studies after teaching in a middle school for 2 years. I also have experience with teaching ESL in high school as well as adult tutoring for GED, IELTS, TOEFL, and other English language exams.

Approach

As someone who is learning Spanish, I understand how difficult and overwhelming it can be to learn a new language. It takes a lot of persistence and patience. Therefore, I am incredibly patient with my students and break down a seemingly large task into smaller, digestible pieces. I have high expectations for my students but provide the right amount of support to reach those expectations.
