I am left handed, and I am the only boy out of four children. I have lived in the Maryland/DC area my whole life, but I have traveled to over 15 countries in the world.
About Me
I am an attorney in maryland/baltimore">Baltimore City. I am a fluent Spanish speaker seeking the opportunity to maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor those who wish to study the language at all levels. I have been a fluent speaker for 10+ years, and have experience teaching elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels of Spanish. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and Economics from St. Mary's College of Maryland. I received my Juris Doctorate from American University.
Experience
As an undergraduate, I student taught several high school Spanish classes of more than 30 students. Following college, I served as an ESL/Spanish language interpreter for the Prince George's County Public School system and interpreted for parents and students. I have also offered private maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring to college students. Additionally, in law school I taught a high school constitutional literacy class.
Approach
As an instructor, I focus on a practical approach and believe in providing my students with consistent positive reinforcement. As a high school constitutional literacy teacher, I periodically gave my students quizzes throughout the semester to ensure that they mastered the material and also developed fun, Jeopardy!-type quiz games to ensure their command of the material. I have utilized these same methods as a Spanish instructor to private clients as well.
