A few fun facts about me are that I love traveling and learning new things about different cultures, I am an avid gamer in my spare time, and I love keeping up with the latest trends in pop culture!

About Me

I am a current Chicago-based freelance journalist and writer. I graduated from DePauw University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and minoring in Studio Art. Recently, I graduated and received my MSJ from Northwestern Medill with my Master of Science in Journalism.

Experience

My experience with writing began as early as high school where I spent time tutoring other students in both English and writing as president of the National English Honor Society. Post high school, I would soon become a Teaching Assistant at the Prindle Institute of Ethics introducing incoming college students to college writing in my sophomore year of undergraduate.

Approach

Back in elementary school, I was not a huge fan of writing as it often posed a challenge for me between finding the right words, structuring my essays, and more. After receiving tutoring help from my elementary school teacher, I became more fond of writing as a craft and fell in love with it. This led me to continue to write for both school and leisure in high school and later received two degrees in writing-based fields.
