About Me

I teach math at ASU. My speciality is Calculus and I've focused extensively on developing a curriculum that teaches students the meanings and relevance of mathematics, beyond just how to "do it"

Experience

I've taught math and statistics for over 20 years at ASU. Every summer I also teach Physics as part of an enrichment program for high school students

Approach

Growing up, my learning of math was always driven by understanding the underlying principles and connections of the content. This naturally led to my teaching style which has similar goals for my students: understanding ideas and focusing on meanings, sense-making, and real-life applications.
