Fun Facts

My favorite things in life are music, sports, and people. I never learned to play any sports but I'm a MVP spectator! I can sing a little and dance a little, and I love any event that draws a big crowd! A fun fact about me is that I love roller coasters and thrill rides. I hope I get to ride all the biggest coasters in the world someday, fingers crossed.

About Me

I took my Bachelor's degree in Art History and I would choose it all over again. I've been involved in several fields over the years, and by far the most rewarding is Education. From homeschooling to Middle School Specialized Education to Preschoolers with Autism, I love helping students gain the tools for learning which will enrich their entire lives.

Experience

I have been involved in education on several different platforms. My career in education began when I homeschooled my children from preschool to 6th grade. More recently I worked as a teacher's assistant in a middle school education/arizona/mesa">special education program. Currently, I provide therapy for preschoolers diagnosed with autism.

Approach

As a child I was a successful student overall, but there were a few subjects where I could have used support beyond the classroom. I relish the opportunity to be that support for students today. Through tutoring and homework support I seek to give students the longer explanations they may need to "breakthrough" in difficult topics. Then through repetition to increase comprehension and mastery of the needed skills. All while building the student's confidence by celebrating incremental successes.
