Fun Facts
Something most people learn about me very quickly is that I love aviation! I am a certified pilot and I could identify most kinds of aircraft. I also have a passion for travelling and learning new languages.
About Me
I graduated from college with a degree in Aeronautical Science and my commercial pilot's certificate. After tutoring for a year in college. Taking an interest in education, I taught middle school math and science at a public school in Arizona. After that, I flew to Kyrgyzstan and taught English at an international school there for one year.
Experience
In college, I worked as a tutor helping my fellow aeronautical science (pilot training) majors through their flight and ground school courses. After graduating college, I worked as a substitute teacher, and in October was hired as a long-term substitute for middle school math. After winter break, I was moved to a full-time middle school science teaching position, and towards the end of the year assisted in education/colorado/golden">special education. The next year I was hired as a full-time English teacher in Kyrgyzstan.
Approach
When a student is struggling, I will find a different way to explain the problem. My way of explaining the problem will vary depending on what the student has told or shown me concerning how they learn best, but I tend towards using visual and tactile examples with students.
